Monday Madness ~ Seriously

Seriously, I really wonder about myself at times. I had a fantastic idea yesterday, after collecting more furniture from my Mum’s place (this is because I feel bad about throwing it out), I decided I would move my office into the spare bedroom. Seemed like a good idea at the time, a bigger room. I could move all my books in there and have all my writing related stuff together. Yep, what more could I want? Well some muscled men would be good. I forgot just how many novels I have, this is going to take me forever to sort out. On top of that, I also decided to pull the old wallpaper off the wall. Now I live in a very old house and we have been going to renovate for ages but what we want to do and what we can afford to do just do not work out equal. Grrrrrr.

So anyway, I started to pull down the paper, underneath the crappy yellow flower paper was more wallpaper, which wouldn’t have been so bad except it’s stained. Plus, the top lot of paper isn’t coming off all that easy in a few places. So now, I have a room with an assortment of different coloured wallpaper and a mile of books to move. At least I can get to my computer now.

As for the rest, well I’ll sort it bit by bit and see how I go. Oh and hubby suggested I sell some of my novels or give them away. Seriously, he has to be joking, I can’t part with my books. That is another thing, must stop reading said novels while I’m trying to get the room in order.

I better go check my emails. See ya.

Sexy Saturday ~ An Update

So update on the editing thing. 'We Were in Love' has been placed on the back burner because it was giving me the sh*ts, all was going well than it fell into a piles of ... well you know. So I'm working on 'The Godmother's Wish' instead.

One of my writing buddies Monique Wood is going to have her short story published in the RWA Little Gem anthology how cool is that? I'm soooooo pleased for our Mon.

After posting on Thursday another headaches hit me, than I got all teary. I really think this cleaning out my parents home is getting to me. I mean, this was a big part of my life for seventeen years before I married and moved away. But it's been there, I could always go back anytime I wanted, now it is going to be my nieces home. I'm happy for her and her partner, I'm happy the family home is staying within our family, but I can't just go and use a key and let myself in when ever I want. Tomorrow Jim and I are going down to remove the last of my Mum and Dad's belongings, than there will be just an empty house. I'm feeling a little down today, but things change, life goes on and at least I still have my Mum.

Yesterday I watched 'Mama Mia', what a great movie. So my sexy pics for today is the three maybe Dads. Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and Stellan Skarsgård.

Thursday's Thoughts ~ Still Editing

Yes, I'm still around somewhere. Editing is moving along slowly. I've changed tactics for a while, instead of trying to edit three novels at once I'm working on the first fifty pages of one and than I'll move on to another one.

So for the moment I'm editing 'We Were In Love', I do believe I'm getting somewhere with this. Chopping the first two and a half chapters is working well, even if I'm still not sure where I'll find all those lovely missing words now. LOL. But I will press on and hope for the best.

I also had two more stories jump into my head the other day, Lord I do wish they would stop doing that, anyway I made some notes and I'm hoping that will keep them a bay for a month or two, like until June would be good.

It would have been my Dad's 83rd birthday yesterday so my sisters and I took Mum out for morning tea. She has settled into the nursing home really well, which is great and one worry off my mind. One of my nieces and her partner are thinking of buying my childhood home, I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one. It would make Mum very happy if she knew the family home was going to stay within the family, we should know for sure by next week I think.

I've also been fighting migraines the last couple of days, I woke up Tuesday with a dozy, yesterday morning wasn't too bad but by the time I got home from having the morning with Mum I went down like a tonne of bricks again. This afternoon I'm feeling a lot better.

That's where I'm up to at the moment. I hope to have the editing finished on 'We Were In Love' by Monday so I can work on at least one other before the Valerie Parv contest entries are due, even if I'm still not sure if I'll enter it yet.

See ya.

Frantic Friday ~ The Silly Things I Do

Here it is Friday again and I'm left wondering where the week has gone. It's not like I've been super busy, well if you don't count the editing. Yes, editing, and how is that going? Well you might ask. The answer slowly. Wednesday I achieved six pages, Tuesday ten pages, Wednesday zero, not a word, not a line. Yesterday being Thursday I managed another ten pages, WOOHOO. Today so far zero! I had it all planned, go and get weighted, come home and work. What did I do, got weighted and then went off and had morning tea with some of Jim's relos. I'm not expecting much tonight either, I have ironing to do for the weekend (we are off to a horse show), bags to pack, cooking to do and on top of all that I'm getting a headache.

I have written two reviews today though so its not a told lose. Just have five more novels to read and review by the end of the month. So I'll be packing my lappy and my printed out WIPs to edit in the hope that I can get at least a bit of work done on them, and I would like to get at least one novel read while I'm away. May be one of the short ones would do it.

Yesterday I did something really, really stupid. I signed up to do Script Frenzy in April, if you go to my challenge blog you'll be able to read all about the screenplay I plan to write. Yes the silly things I do, LOL.

See ya next time.

Wednesday's Wisdom ~ Editing

So far today I haven't even looked at any of my work that needs editing. Guess what I'll be doing tonight. LOL. Yesterday was a great editing day I managed to edit 10 pages WOOHOO. Will I have to go back and edit these some more? More than likely.

So here is today's editing via You Tube it's on How to Fix Run-ons and Fragments.

I'm off to make a cup of coffee then it is editing time for me.

See ya.

Tasty Tuesday ~ The Doctors

Yes, I know they have all their clothes on, but I thought I can't really go around exploiting men every week for my own enjoyment. LOL.

So here we have the good Doctors od Seattle Grey (well the attendings anyway) from top right: Patrick Dempsey ~ Dr McDreamy, Eric Dane ~ Dr McSteamy and Kevin McKidd ~ (I'm calling him) Dr McCreamy. Grey's Anatomy just got a whole lot better.

On to my editing for today. I had a pretty good day, edited 10 pages of 'We Were In Love', I'm sure I could have done a whole lot more if I didn't have to do housework. LOL. I'll be back on the editing job again tomorrow, I'm hoping to have 'We Were In Love' edited and off to my wonderful CPs by the weekend.

I've posted the list and links to my reviews for Fallen Angel Reviews to my Review Blog if you'd like to have a read.

For now I'm off to bed, catch ya next time.

Monday Madness ~ Editing

Yep, you guessed it I'm back editing. Just to make things interesting, I'm not just editing one novel, no, I'm editing three. Well the first fifty pages of three anyway, of which I'll pick the one I'm going to enter in the Valerie Parv Awards.

So the Romance 109 Bootcamp finished at the weekend, and it was fantastic. All I need to do now is use the information I learnt and use it to better my writing. My fellow bootcampers and I have started a critique group so that should be helpful and interesting.

I was on you tube earlier and come across this video, plus there are more so I thought I might post a different one each day for a while. they look like they will be very helpful with my editing at least. This first one is a problem I think I may have. LOL.

Happy writing & editing.
